The first USDA Certified Organic hemp company in the United States, CBDRx has secured a major achievement both for the business and the industry. CBDRx has established an end to end business capable of wholesale and retail production. Infrastructure resources include indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse facilities as well as processing, testing, and packaging onsite.
Primarily a wholesaler, the company also provides private label products, consultation, and joint research opportunities, as well as capabilities to produce and sell capsules and other extract forms.

In 2015 the company grew approximately 68 acres of hemp resulting in 33 metric tons of 16% CBD yielding flower. For 2016 the company has planted 151 acres at a plant density of about 1350 per acre, equating to over 200,000 plants. Leadership is also prepared to increase production volume as orders demand more yield. Primary products include wholesale crystal isolate CBD and hemp flower.
A new CBDRx labeled full spectrum extract was also recently deployed as a small batch to test packaging and branding in stores. The company is currently in discussions with a large, name brand drug store chain with considerations to place products in their physical and online storefronts.
CBDRx has outgrown their current research and development farm and are relocating to a larger property this year, indicating the emphasis on volume of research performed by the business. While the company has significant assets onsite to manage and perform experiments, CBDRx is big on partnerships and joint research ventures.
“Research and Development is important to CBDRx, and we partner with groups in adjacent industries and academia to further the industry.” -Tim Gordon, CEO of CBDRx
The company is continuing a long term multi-year strategy to partner with scientists to actively test the efficacy of whole / full spectrum extracts in comparison to those provided by isolates. Leadership also identified opportunities for innovators and entrepreneurs to impact the industry by researching and developing adjacent market technologies to improve efficiencies and qualities of extraction at large (hundreds of pounds) volumes.
