On March 20, 2019, CVS Pharmacy announced that it has started selling products that contain cannabidiol (CBD), making it the first national retailer in the United States to do so. Partnering with the medical cannabis company Curaleaf, CVS will carry topical products such as creams or sprays. However, the company will not sell CBD supplements or food additives. The products are be available in over 800 stores in eight states. Those states are as followed: Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, and Tennessee.
