When it rains, it pours. On July 30, 2018, the Australian hemp company, Elixinol Global (EXL), announced the publication of its second quarter financial results. Sales for the company totaled AU$8 million, representing an increase of 111% compared to the previous year and by 21%, compared to the previous quarter. The company’s explosive growth was due largely to dietary supplements and skincare products sold in Colorado, according to the company’s press release. If sales continue at this rate, Hemp Business Journal estimates that EXL is on track to reach approximately $35-$40 million in sales for 2018. For greater context, CW Hemp, the leading CBD seller in 2017, totaled $40 million in sales in 2017.
