Hemp fiber is coming to the 2022 Winter Olympics. NForce-Fiber, a hemp fiber concrete additive created by Canadian Greenfield Technologies, has been chosen to help build the run for competitors at the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. Canadian Greenfield Technologies is a company the specializes in the development and manufacturing of hemp products and technologies. Launched in 2015, NForce-Fiber is designed to reinforce concrete and reduce early-stage cracking within the first 72 hours. Typically, fiber-based materials are not the go-to choice for bobsled tracks, but Olympic organizers were persuaded to use the hemp-fiber additive after third-party testing led to promising results.
