Licensing applications to grow hemp in the state of Wisconsin for the 2019 season are now available. Despite a lackluster harvest this year, due largely to a rain-filled Spring, state officials remain optimistic for the upcoming season. The deadline for hemp license applications is December 31, 2018. Interested parties must be able to pass a criminal background check. In terms of licensing fees, cultivators must pay a licensing fee of between $150 to $1,000; depending on how much hemp they intend to grow.
