Hemp is still illegal in Idaho, as lawmakers fail to realign state law with federal guidelines before the legislative session expires. According KTVB, there were two measures making their way through the Idaho state legislature. One bill that outright legalize hemp and hemp production in the state. The second measure would legalize the transportation of hemp but would not outright legalize the substance. The bill allowing hemp production, which garnered bipartisan support early on, was left to die in an agricultural committee. The hemp transportation bill was voted down in the House.
