The hemp wars are heating up as Organigram (TSX VENTURE: OGI) announced this week that they have secured a long-term supply of hemp-based CBD. In a press release, that company says that they have entered into an agreement with the New Brunswick-based company, 1812 Hemp. Under the agreement, Organigram will be given access to roughly 6,000 kilograms of dried hemp flower, which the company will purchase for the purposes of extraction. The agreement also grants Organigram the right-of-first refusal for future hemp crops from 1812 Hemp.
