Hemp is an incredibly versatile plant that can be used clothing, food products, and even automobiles. Most recently, luxury automaker Porsche announced that its new race car, the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, will feature composite doors derived from hemp. However, Porsche is not the first company to build a car using hemp-derived materials. In 1941, Henry Ford designed a prototype vehicle that featured a plastic body made of hemp and other composite materials. The company plans to sell two versions of the car, a Trackday model for $150,000 and a Competition version for $175,000.
