CBD stores in Tennessee may soon find themselves in legal jeopardy. According to Nashville Public Radio, law enforcement officials in Tennessee have started to investigate CBD shops throughout the state. Although Tennessee is one of 15 U.S. states with an industrial hemp pilot program, CBD remains a largely unregulated substance, and it is this ambiguity that has caught the attention of state law enforcement. Although the state crime lab is currently incapable of testing CBD products for things such as THC levels, law enforcement officials will continue to investigate CBD stores in the near future; that is unless the 2018 Farm Bill, which fully legalizes hemp in the United States, is passed.
