One Kansas City hemp company is feeling the sting of loss after a thief steals thousands of dollars worth of CBD products. On October 29, 2018, the Hemp Haus experienced an early morning break-in which resulted in the theft of CBD products worth approximately $40,000 before retail. Speaking with KCTV 5, Hemp Haus CEO Eric Oligschlaeger said that his company, which has only been in business for five weeks, had just doubled his store’s inventory in preparation for a sale. Security footage from the store reveals that the thief broke in by smashing the front window and disarming the security alarm. Two other nearby stores were also burglarized around the time of the theft, and law enforcement is confident that they know who is responsible for the break-ins.
