In an unprecedented and historic move, the World Health Organization (WHO) Expert Committee on Drug Dependence has passed a resolution declaring that “pure CBD should not be scheduled within the International Drug Control Conventions.” The committee found that there have been no cases of abuse or dependence related to CBD use, no public health problems associated with CBD and that CBD use is generally well-tolerated amount the general population. The committee’s finding echoes the results of a previously published WHO report, which also found no adverse health effects associated with CBD use.
