Industrial hemp is coming to the state of Wyoming. On March 6, 2019, Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon approved a measure legalizing hemp production and the sale of hemp-derived products in the state. Under the new law, prospective hemp farmers will be required to register with the state, pay an annual $750 licensing fee, and must be free of any drug-related criminal convictions for the last 10 years. Licensing fees for non-profit organizations and educational institutions will be discounted at $500.
